SunRise ABA provides home-and-community-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy customized to fit the individual needs of those with developmental or learning challenges. We offer personalized ABA therapy in a setting that supports both the individuals and families who are navigating the unique challenges and strengths of living with developmental or intellectual disabilities.
Our core purpose is to help our clients achieve their full potential through the effects of hands-on and efficient training, using empirically-based methods.
What is ABA Therapy?
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy uses the science of behavior to reduce harmful or challenging behaviors and increase meaningful behaviors and improve quality of life.
ABA is evidence-based and data driven. Practitioners seek to understand how the environment affects behavior, then modify the environment to better support the individual. All strategies and interventions are applied in the individual’s natural environment, such as their home, community or school.
GET STARTED
To get started follow the simple intake process below.
1
Consultation
Start the process by completing the Confidential Questionnaire, which you can access from the button below. We will be in touch shortly for an initial consultation.
We take your privacy seriously and ensure your confidential information is protected through adherence to HIPAA guidelines. HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) was established in 1996 and is a federal law outlining the security and privacy of personal health.
2
Intake
Following your consultation and determining if you are a schedule match, we will schedule an intake call with one of our representatives. To enroll, provide the intake representative with background information on your child and family. The representative then reviews SunRise ABA’s policies and regulations. Please allow approximately one hour for this session.
3
Benefits check
During the intake process, we also perform a benefits check for services. This determines your eligibility through your insurance provider. You will be asked to provide proof of medical diagnosis for your child, a prescription for ABA therapy services, and proof of insurance.
4
Assessment
Once your benefits check clears, a BCBA will conduct a functional behavior assessment (FBA) and skills assessments. The BCBAmay use one or more of the following assessment tools below:
- Verbal Behavior Milestones Placement Program (VB-Mapp)
- Assessment of Basic Language and Learning Skills-Revised (ABLLS-R)
- Developmental Assessment of Young Children (DAY-C)
5
Therapy
After the assessment is complete and services have been authorized by your insurance provider, your child’s ABA therapy begins. A BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) creates a customized plan to help your child reach their full potential by addressing challenging behaviors and promoting their strengths.
