How Sunrise ABA is Different
We believe that learning should be colorful and centered around one’s motivations to build new skills. SunRise ABA utilizes positive reinforcement techniques to help foster these skills. Skills are taught using a variety of methodologies that are in the best interest of your child, with a strong focus on play-based techniques.
SunRise is data-driven and understands the value of research-based approaches. Our methodologies are based on scientific research, and we continuously strive to maintain high ethical standards to serve you and your loved ones. We do this by focusing on self-advocacy skills rather than compliance.
We also collect data to track progress and evaluate if our services meet your child’s needs efficiently and comprehensively. Data collection and analysis allow us to see when programs aren’t working and what changes we can make to serve our clients better.
Our clinicians conduct thorough functional behavior assessments (FBA) to identify the rationale for challenging behaviors that negatively impact one’s ability to learn or perform essential life skills. Our support extends to the families and stakeholders in the child’s environment to ensure holistic care.
Our Professionally Trained Staff
Our staff members are dedicated to your child’s success. We understand the level of trust parents place in our staff to care for their child and work hard to earn and maintain that trust. We hold ourselves to the highest standards of care and focus on providing compassionate and supportive service through our work.

Our Role in Your Treatment
Behavior Technicians(BTs) or Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs)
Our Behavior Technicians either completed a Bachelor's degree or higher in the human service field, have some form of human service experience, or are currently completing undergraduate work in the human service field. Our Behavior Technicians undergo ongoing and extensive training by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Your Behavior Technician works directly with your child and implements ABA procedures under a supervising BCBA and/or mid-level supervisor.
Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
Our BCBAs hold a Master's Degree in their field, have completed coursework requirements, met supervised fieldwork hours, and successfully passed the Board certification exam. BCBAs receive ongoing training and are responsible for developing your child’s programs, supervising, supporting, and monitoring behavior technicians.
Mid-level supervisors
Mid-level supervisors are in the process of pursuing their BCBA credentials and monitor the interventions and services your child receives under careful supervision by a BCBA.
FAQs About Our Services
How do I know if ABA therapy is necessary for my child?
If you are concerned with your child’s development or behavioral challenges, please seek out your pediatrician for an evaluation! They will be able to point you in the right direction when it comes to choosing the right treatment for your child. It is also important to schedule a visit early on to reduce the burden of receiving different therapies for several years.
Can you do ABA therapy at home?
ABA services are primarily held in the home setting but can also be held in clinic or community settings. Parents and caregivers are always encouraged to participate in sessions to ensure that skills are transferred across individuals and settings .
